General Information

ABC Pediatrics, Ltd. prides itself on building strong relationships with patients and their families, and excellent health care begins with mutual respect.  We believe it's important to find a medical care provider whose family priorities and healthcare philosophies are aligned with yours.

Our providers enjoy spending time with their patients and families, educating them on growth, development, nutrition, safety, and home life. Our providers are pro-vaccination and conservative when treating with antibiotics.

The following are other things to consider when choosing ABC Pediatrics, Ltd. for your child's medical home:

Vaccines

ABC Pediatrics, Ltd. follows the immunization guidelines recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). If you decide not to follow these guidelines we respectfully ask that you find another pediatrician who shares your views.

Appointments

When scheduling an appointment, please express all of your concerns. This will help the front desk allow the appropriate amount of time for your appointment and keep our doctors running on time.

We try our best to schedule wellness exams with your child's primary care physician, however, there are times when we fill up quickly, especially during the summer months with back to school and sport physicals. It may be necessary for your child to be scheduled with one of our nurse practitioners. If your child is acutely ill, he or she will be seen by a provider who is available at the time.

Our provider schedules are opened for well-child visits six months in advance for weekday appointments, and three months in advance for Saturday appointments. We encourage you to schedule your family's well-child visits as early as possible.

Missed Appointments

In the event you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance for a well-child visit and one hour before a sick visit. This will provide the opportunity for another patient in need of care to be seen.  Otherwise, a $50.00 fee will be charged to the patient’s account.

Insurance Information

You must bring a valid insurance card and your co-payment (if applicable) to each appointment. If you have new insurance and have not yet received your insurance card, you will need the following information:

  • Insurance company name
  • Claim address
  • Co-payment amount
  • Policy information including policy member name, policy number, group number and suffix

Copays are due at the time of service. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards for payment of co-payment or account balance.

Credit Card on File

In an effort to improve patient service and office efficiency, ABC Pediatrics, Ltd. has implemented a credit card on file policy. Much like many other businesses such as a hotel or car rental agency, attorney, etc. we have a similar policy where we ask for a credit card which may be used later to pay any balance that may be due on your bill.

At check-in, your credit card information will be obtained and kept securely until your insurance has paid its portion and notifies us of the balance due, if any. At that time, you will be sent a statement which you will have 14 days to review and pay your balance. After 14 days, if the bill remains unpaid, we will bill your credit card.

This does not compromise your ability to dispute a charge or question your insurance company’s determination of payment. We recommend you contact your insurance company first for any discrepancies.

After-hours Charge

Patients seen in the office during regularly scheduled evening (5:00pm and after) or weekend office hours will incur an additional charge.

Patient Portal

We encourage our families to register and use our patient portal.
