Dr. Pamela Persak PAMELA PERSAK, M.D., F.A.A.P.grew up in northern California. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. She attended Chicago Medical School and graduated with her Medical Degree in 1994. During medical school, Dr. Persak was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society due to her excellent academic performance as well as her involvement in medical research and multiple community projects. She completed her pediatric residency, including a year as Chief Resident, at Loyola University Medical Center. After residency, she continued on staff at Loyola as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics from 1998 to 2001. During that time, she was Director of Child Advocacy, which included educating pediatric residents in both the inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, running a Mobile Medical Clinic that provided primary care and asthma care in schools, and residing as Medical Director of a community clinic for underserved children.In 2001, Dr. Persak moved to Minnesota, due to her husband’s work. While in Minnesota, in addition to starting her family, she worked as a general pediatrician in a busy pediatric practice. Dr. Persak joined ABC Pediatrics, Ltd. in 2008, when her family moved back to the Chicago area. She is Pediatric Board Certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Persak and her husband, Bob, reside in Lemont. Bob is a chemical engineer and works for a chemical plant in Joliet. Outside of work, they stay busy with their three children, Max, Kate and Nick. Dr. Persak enjoys the challenges and rewards of being a Mom and enjoys spending time as a family. When she is lucky enough to find a free moment of her own, she enjoys gardening, being outdoors or reading a good book.

Dr. Persak loves her work as a pediatrician and values her relationships with her patients and families. Her goal is to partner with her patients and their parents to provide comprehensive quality care. Dr. Persak sees children from birth through adolescence.
